Ms Valentina Botello León, from the Republic of Colombia, is a lawyer in the International Legal Affairs Bureau at Colombia’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism. She has represented Colombia in the negotiation of free trade agreements and before trade organisations (such as the WTO, the Andean Community and the Pacific Alliance). She also drafts legal opinions on Colombia’s international trade commitments. Before joining the Ministry, she worked as a counsel in an investment arbitration law firm.

Ms Botello León holds a Law Degree from the Universidad Externado de Colombia and a Master’s Degree in Public International Law from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
